Shinzo Abe shot: TV cameras capture attack on former PM and suspect’s arrest – video

Japan's former prime minister Shinzo Abe was shot during a campaign speech in western Japan and airlifted to a hospital. He was not breathing and his heart had stopped, officials said. The public broadcaster NHK aired footage showing Abe collapsed on the street, with security guards running toward him. Footage showed a person being tackled and arrested at the scene. Abe was reported to be in cardio and pulmonary arrest and was taken to a prefectural hospital
